Hey, peeps! Just wanted to stop by and let you all know what I've been up to lately and what I've got planned for the near future.
I've been prepping for a big con in my area for the past month or so which has really soaked up most of my time. That con is most certainly getting canceled do to Covid-19 (corona virus) but if somehow it doesn't I can't see myself being there anyway. So this basically means I'm free to work on other things now. haha
The first thing that comes to mind is March of Robots. We're deep into the month already but I would like to do at least one drawing before it ends. I've already got something planned which I think I'll leave as a surprise till I've made it.
I knew coming into the month that trying to take part in the challenge would be a road to ruin when done along side prepping for the con so with that in mind I decided to consider other challenges for this year...
BattleBorn is a fantastic game which will always hold a special place in my heart. Sadly the servers are scheduled for shutdown at the end of the year. I had also planned to draw all the playable characters at some point (many of which are totally rad robots and cyborgs
) and there just so happens to be 30 of them. Do you see where I'm going with this? I have actually drawn a few of them already, I'll probably use them as an excuse for a break here and there but I think I'm going to do my own BattleBorn art challenge in April.
What else, what else...I'm working hard on new stuff for RedBubble, I'll have something knew posted here and there tomorrow. A Witching Tale pages are certainly on there way soon as well. I'd also love to start streaming again, I just need to check and make sure I have a functioning mic first. lol Oh, I've started setting up an ArtStation portfolio which you can find at artstation.com/russell_lecroy but I haven't actually posted anything there yet.
Soon, very soon. I view DeviantArt as more of a chronicle of my life as an artist from way back before this was my profession and I'll always be here. ArtStation will play the role of my professional portfolio.
I hope you're having a wonderful day, stay safe out there. I love all of you that have read this far, you'll here from me again soon.
Oh! one last thing before I go; if you enjoy my art and, most importantly, have the money to spare my Patreon link is below. You get some pretty cool stuff for as low as $1 a month. I normally make a point not to shove it on you folks, I only bring it up now because of the difficult times that may be ahead with the Covid pandemic. A new patron would be a welcome site indeed but you're awesome and I love you either way. See ya later.
